My Favorite Ethical and Sustainable Fashion Brands

Finding sustainable and ethical brands that you love can be a challenge. Some companies have very niche styles that may not be up your alley. Others have price tags that aren’t so easy on the wallet.

I am always on the lookout for brands that fit my style, as well as those that make the most affordable pieces without compromising quality, sustainability and ethical manufacturing.

The following are a few brands that I have grown to love. These companies all uphold sustainable sourcing and ethical manufacturing standards, and their pieces are beautiful and made to last.

Everlane

This is my all time favorite brand. They hit all the marks when it comes to being sustainably sourced, ethically made and affordable!

I own 5 pieces from Everlane (3 pairs of jeans, 1 sweater and 1 top), and I plan to remain a customer of theirs for years to come.

Frank and Oak

Another brand I love is Frank and Oak. I visited their store in Vancouver, BC and absolutely fell in love with their clothing. I haven’t had the chance yet to purchase many pieces from them, but I did pick up a beautiful gingham dress at their store when I visited.

This company also has affordable prices, especially during sales, compared to a lot of  sustainable brands out there. You can also get 15% off your first purchase!

Nisolo

Let’s talk about my favorite shoe brand ever. I have 3 pairs of Nisolo shoes and they are so comfy, versatile and beautiful. Nisolo’s shoes are on the pricey side, but if you wait for sales and take advantage of their “new customer” discount and “give $20 get $20” deal, you can make it work!

Nisolo bonus — their jewelry is to die for! These are their beautiful Soft Diamond Hoop Earrings. ($38)

Dear Survivor

This company has a special place in my heart because the owner is a San Diego local, and part of their profits go to Generate Hope, a non-profit that supports survivors of sex trafficking. Not to mention their statement earrings are a must-have. I own a pair of their leather earrings in blush and always get compliments on them.

Their leather earrings are made from scrap leather that clothing companies would otherwise toss. And they are handmade right in San Diego. Sign up for their newsletter and get 10% off your first purchase!

Girlfriend Collective

A simple and sustainable workout brand that I have been loving lately is Girlfriend Collective. Their leggings are some of the comfiest I’ve ever owned and they are so flattering. Oh, and their pieces are made from recycled water bottles — how cool!

I own a pair of their compressive high-rise leggings in black and wear them all the time.
